"Shinjuu" means double love suicide in Japanese, something like the tragic act committed by Romeo and Juliet. When a star-crossed couple cannot marry for reasons of class difference or family enmity, shinjuu is a natural choice in the honor-bound society of early Edo Japan (17th century).

wow it seems like such a romantic concept.. you'd rather die with the person you love than suffer someone else for the rest of your life. it's so selfish yet unselfish at the same time... you dont even care that it will hurt. haha im all starry eyed now!

i am highly enjoying the time and effort you put into the kimono's!

Little white flowers
Will never awaken you
Not where the black coaches
Sorrow has taken you
Angels have no thoughts
Of ever returning you
Wouldnt they be angry
If I thought of joining you?
especially those lil fray designs at the end of the ribbon jigger thingy.

This is so beautiful. . . and very touching. I absolutely love it. I adore all the detail you put into it, and admire the hard work you must have put into this. Great job!
